Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience is a quick, easy, and safe introduction to the underwater world—without committing to a full certification course.

Key Highlights:

  • What to Expect: Learn fundamental scuba rules and safety guidelines, get comfortable with the gear in shallow/confined water, and practice basic underwater skills under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.

  • The Experience: Once comfortable, enjoy your very first guided dive to experience weightlessness and explore underwater life.

  • Head Start to Certification: Your DSD session can count as credit toward the PADI Open Water Diver certification if you decide to continue your scuba journey!

 

 

Open Water Course

Open Water Diver Course

Take the plunge and earn your full scuba certification! The PADI Open Water Diver course is the full scuba qualification, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to safely explore the underwater world down to 18 meters (60 feet) anywhere on Earth.

What the Course Includes:

  • Interactive E-Learning: Complete the self-paced digital theory modules online anytime, anywhere, with a quick review with your instructor before hitting the water.

  • 2 Pool Sessions (Confined Water): Master basic scuba skills, safety procedures, and gear handling in a calm, controlled environment.

  • 2 Open Water Sessions (4 Dives Total): Apply everything you’ve learned in a real body of water to complete your certification dives.

Key Details:

  • Prerequisites: Minimum age of 10 years old (Junior Open Water) and basic swimming skills.

  • Result: Lifetime certification allowing you to rent gear, book charter dives, and explore underwater environments worldwide with a buddy.

 

This course allows you to dive anywhere in the world. You can dive to a depth of 18 meters.

The course includes:

  • E-learning with a review of your knowledge.
  • 2 pool sessions.
  • 2 open water sessions for your certification.

Advanced open water course

 Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Take your diving skills to the next level! The Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to build your confidence and expand your scuba capabilities through real-world experience. You don't need to be "advanced" to take it—it’s all about advancing your skills right after your Open Water certification.

What to Expect:

You’ll complete 5 Adventure Dives, including two core required dives—Deep Diving (down to 30 meters / 100 feet) and Underwater Navigation—plus 3 elective specialty dives of your choice to tailor the course to your interests.

Elective Specialties Available:

  • Night Diving: Experience the mystery and unique aquatic life that comes alive after dark.

  • Search & Recovery Diving: Learn methods to locate lost items underwater and bring them to the surface using lift bags.

  • Underwater Naturalist Diving: Gain a deeper understanding of aquatic ecosystems and animal interactions.

  • Peak Performance Buoyancy: Master your control underwater for effortless swimming, lower air consumption, and protection of marine habitats.

  • Fish Identification Diving: Learn how to identify fish families and species so you always know what you're looking at.

  • Drift Diving: Experience the sensation of "flying" while riding ocean currents effortlessly.

  • Wreck Diving: Discover how to safely explore fascinating sunken ships, planes, and artificial reefs.

Key Details:

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification) and a minimum age of 12 years old.

  • Result: Certification to dive down to 30 meters (100 feet) worldwide and credit toward individual Specialty certifications!

 

 

Rescue Course

 Rescue Diver Course

Serious fun! The Rescue Diver course is often described by divers as the most challenging—yet most rewarding—scuba course they’ve ever taken. You’ll expand on what you’ve already learned by focusing on accident prevention, emergency management, and real-world problem solving underwater and at the surface.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Self-Rescue & Stress Management: Recognize and handle diver stress before it leads to panic or accidents.

  • Emergency Management: Master the use of emergency oxygen, specialized rescue equipment, and organized search patterns.

  • Rescuing Panicked & Unresponsive Divers: Practice effective techniques for assisting conscious and unconscious divers at the surface and underwater.

  • Real-World Scenarios: Apply your skills in realistic ocean or freshwater emergency scenarios with your instructor.

Key Details:

  • Prerequisites:

    • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent qualifying certification).

    • Minimum age of 12 years old.

    • Emergency First Response (EFR) / First Aid & CPR certification within the past 24 months (available directly through us if needed!).

  • Result: Increased confidence, superior buddy awareness, and the essential skills to make every dive safer—plus the final step toward becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver or PADI Divemaster!

 

Divemaster and DSD Leadership Courses

Divemaster & DSD Leader Courses

Turn your passion into a profession! The Divemaster course is the first level of professional scuba certification, transforming you into a respected dive leader, role model, and mentor. Step into leadership, fine-tune your skills to demonstration quality, and learn to supervise scuba activities and assist with training worldwide.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Dive Leadership & Supervision: Master dive planning, management, and control for leading certified divers on underwater tours.

  • Instructional Assistance: Work closely with PADI Instructors in real training scenarios, learning how to assist with students in confined and open water.

  • Demonstration-Quality Skills: Refine your dive skills, rescue techniques, and navigation to professional precision.

  • Dive Theory & Knowledge: Gain in-depth expertise in dive physics, physiology, equipment, environmental awareness, and decompression theory.

DSD Leader Option:

Earn your Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader rating to independently conduct PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in a pool or confined water. It's the ultimate way to share the thrill of breathing underwater with first-time divers!

Key Details:

  • Prerequisites:

    • PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification).

    • Minimum age of 18 years old.

    • At least 40 logged dives to start (60 logged dives for certification).

    • Current Emergency First Response (EFR) / First Aid & CPR training within the last 24 months.

    • Medical clearance signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

  • Result: Professional PADI membership, allowing you to guide dives, assist instructors, independently teach certain specialty programs, and kickstart your career in the global dive industry!

1. Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty

  • Description: Elevate your dive skills by mastering weight distribution, trim, and breath control. You’ll hover effortlessly, reduce air consumption, and protect fragile underwater environments.

  • Who it’s for: Any diver wanting to fine-tune their buoyancy, move smoother through water, and make their air last longer.

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and minimum age 10.


2. Drift Diver Specialty

  • Description: Experience the feeling of "flying" underwater by riding currents! Learn how to use surface signal floats, stay connected with your buddy, and navigate dynamic currents safely and effortlessly.

  • Who it’s for: Divers planning to visit coastal or island destinations with strong ocean currents or rivers (e.g., St Lawrence river and all its amazing shipwrecks, ocean passes, channels, or reef walls).

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and minimum age 12.


3. Delayed Surface Marker Buoyancy (DSMB) Specialty

  • Description: Master the skill of deploying a DSMB (safety sausage) from depth. Learn how to reel, launch, and control line tension safely to signal boat captains and mark your position prior to surfacing.

  • Who it’s for: Divers looking to enhance safety during drift dives, ocean ascents, or in areas with heavy boat traffic.

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and minimum age 12.


4. Emergency Oxygen Provider

  • Description: A non-diving course that teaches you how to recognize scuba diving illnesses treatable with emergency oxygen and properly administer O₂ using masks and demand valves in an emergency.

  • Who it’s for: Divers, boat captains, shore crew, or non-diving friends/family who want to be prepared to assist in dive emergencies.

  • Prerequisites: None! (No diving or CPR/First Aid certification required).


5. Deep Diver Specialty

  • Description: Explore the deep blue down to the maximum recreational limit of 40 meters (130 feet). Learn about gas management, handling nitrogen narcosis, safety stops, and deep dive planning.

  • Who it’s for: Certified divers looking to explore deeper wrecks, drop-offs, and marine life found beyond 18 meters (60 feet).

  • Prerequisites: PADI Adventure Diver (or Open Water Diver with qualifying experience) and minimum age 15.


6. Dry Suit Diver Specialty

  • Description: Stay warm and comfortable in colder water environments! Learn how to control dry suit buoyancy, manage suit pressure, care for seal valves, and choose the right undergarments.

  • Who it’s for: Divers looking to extend their diving season year-round or explore cold-water destinations (lakes, quarries, and northern coastal waters).

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and minimum age 10.


7. Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver Specialty

  • Description: PADI’s most popular specialty! Learn how to dive with oxygen-enriched air (up to 40% O₂) to extend your bottom time, shorten surface intervals, and enjoy longer dives.

  • Who it’s for: Divers who want longer time underwater, especially on repetitive dive trips or liveaboards.

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and minimum age 12.


8. Night Diver Specialty

  • Description: Discover a whole new underwater world after dark! Learn light handling, night communication, navigation in the dark, and entry/exit techniques while observing nocturnal marine life.

  • Who it’s for: Curious divers interested in seeing nocturnal water creatures and experiencing nighttime aquatic environments.

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) and minimum age 12.


9. Search and Recovery Diver Specialty

  • Description: Learn how to locate lost items underwater using specific search patterns and bring heavy objects safely to the surface using lift bags and underwater knots.

  • Who it’s for: Divers who love problem-solving, navigation, and practical hands-on skills underwater.

  • Prerequisites: Open Water Diver or advanced divers (or Open Water Diver with PADI Underwater Navigation certification) and minimum age 12.


10.   Wreck Diver Specialty

  • Description: Learn how to safely explore fascinating sunken ships, planes, and artificial reefs. You’ll cover mapping, survey techniques, avoiding hazards, and using lines and reels to guide navigation around or inside wrecks.

  • Who it’s for: Divers intrigued by marine history, underwater archaeology, and artificial reef ecosystems.

  • Prerequisites: PADI Adventure Diver (or Open Water Diver with qualifying experience) and minimum age 15.

PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris®: What to Expect

Join a Dive Against Debris® event or ask us to create one for your lake and turn your passion for scuba diving into real water conservation. This unique experience combines underwater exploration with citizen science to protect local water habitats, with a recognition certificate.
